Grande mídia americana sobre blogagem e educação

O Washington Post está publicando uma série de artigos que falam sobre a contribuição que a blogagem tem trazido para a atividade docente. Apresenta várias situações de crescimento, mas também constragimentos que estão ligados à expressar a própria opinião num espaço público. Outra crítica está ligada à demora na chegada de equipamentos e conexão ás escolas, o que cria expectativa de uso entre professores e alunos, e depois frustração.
Tenho acompanhado alguns do blogs citados na reportagem, e realmente percebe-se que há muita vida nas iniciativas com TICs e no debate sobre o mundo digital, coisa que está engatinhando por aqui.
O Weblogg-ed, que já citei aqui em outra situação, tem hoje um post de boas vindas aos professores que chegaram ao blog por conta do artigo no jornal. Acho que vale realmente à pena acompanhar esta movimentação.

On one level, blogs are little more than personal journals posted on the Internet for all to see. They provide a forum for teachers to share ideas with colleagues around the world or simply talk about themselves and others. But under a wider lens, the sometimes funny, sometimes searing blogs paint what may be the rawest portrait seen of the teaching profession in transition -- and by some measures, in trouble.
